A DAY AT THE BEACH
Call 808-236-4200 for Updates to Beach Schedule
Monthly Adaptive Surfing, Shoreline Flotation and Swimming for any person with a disability on the 1st Saturday of each month at Kalaeloa, Barbers Point Beach Park. From 9am to 1pm for participants.
(Volunteers will meet at 8:00am with orientation at 8:30pm).

Driving Directions from Honolulu :
INTERSTATE H1 West towards Waianae
Take EXIT 2 toward KAPOLEI/KALAELOA. (0.2 miles)
Turn LEFT at stop light onto MAKAKILO DR. (0.3 miles)
MAKAKILO DR becomes FORT BARRETTE RD. (0.8 miles)
Continue straight on Fort Barrette Road
Enter through Barbers Point main gate
Turn LEFT onto FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT RD. (1 miles)
Follow the “ Blue ” beach cottage signs
Turn Right on Coral Sea (1.5 miles)
Turn Left on Tripoli (.5 miles)
Turn Right into White Plains Beach Circle
Enter parking Lot, we will be on the Grassy area to the Left of Beach Concession

AccesSurf installs the first-ever wheelchair mat and adaptive beach chair at Waimea Bay Beach Park for public use.

ISA Send Off Party
Verizon Wireless Hawaii Junior World Surf Team hosts a send-off party for competitors in this year's ISA Junior World Championship in Ecuador. Proceeds from the night's auction will be benefit AccesSurf.

Join us at this year's Surfing the Nations Third Annual Freedom Surf Contest. Three-day competition features surf, sun, fun, plus music and giveaways from top surf brands.

Lulu's Rooftop Party to benefit AccesSurf
It's the Surf into Summer kick-off party! Live music, pupu and raffles all night. Surfboards, prizes and a swimsuit fashion show downstairs from 10pm - 2am. $20 advance tickets / $25 at the door. We partner with Dreams Come True Foundation to help a young spinal cord injury victim snorkel in Waikiki with his seven family members.

Join us for a celebration of surfing and swimming in beautiful Waikiki beach. AccesSurf will be on hand to provide beach access and ocean activities to anyone with a disability. Prizes and givaways courtesy of the Hyatt Regency of Waikiki. Mahalo to our freinds at the Hyatt Regency of Waikiki.

November 12-23, 2008 - REEF HAWAIIAN PRO: Join AccesSurf Hawaii at the first jewel of the 2008 Triple Crown of Surfing. Wheelchair beach mats have been rolled out to welcome spectators with a premier viewing area on Ali`i Beach. Contest organizers granted AccesSurf a special place in the sand in front of the judge’s scaffolding. One of the best places to watch world-class surfing, Hale`iwa’s peeling rights make for an unforgettable experience. Triple Crown continues with the O`Neill World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach (Nov 24 – Dec 6) and wraps up with the Billabong Pipeline Masters at Banzai Pipeline (Dec 8-20).



August 21, 23 - DUKE'S OCEANFEST: AccesSurf introduces the first Challenged Athletes division at this year's Duke's OceanFest surf contest in Waikiki (Aug 21, 23). Athletes overcome quadraplegia, paraplegia, muscular dystrophy and amputation to demonstrate their surfing skills and compete for top honors. November 12-December 20 - TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING! Drop in and catch all the action. AccesSurf wheelchair beach mats available during this year's Triple Crown. September 23-24 - The SURFLIFE RABBIT KEKAI GROM FEST went off with classic 1’-2’ (Hawaiian size) surf at Waikiki beach which was perfect for the Keiki. Rabbit, staff and all participants enjoyed food provided by Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s. It was great to see the kids and their parents smile after each surfing session with support and Aloha for all. We will definitely volunteer again next year and support our Ohana.

September 21 - AccesSurf Hawaii was selected by the Ad2 Honolulu for it’s 2007 Public Service Campaign recipient. AccesSurf will receive free television commercials, web enhancement, publications and radio advertisement throughout the State of Hawaii. Ad2 Honolulu is a professional team of producers and advertisers that develop a full-scale, multi-media campaign for one non-profit organization in Hawaii each year. Ad 2 Honolulu is a part of National Ad 2, a division of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), and works closely with our local parent club, the Hawaii Advertising Federation (HAF). We are honored by this award and look forward to working with them to provide quality programs for our Ohana. http://www.ad2honolulu.org

August 30 - The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific agreed to support AccesSurf Hawaii, Inc. by partnering with “Beyond the Limit” adapted sports program to provide financial support needed for equipment along with support for the inclusion of adaptive sports within the community. Mahalo to Kate Church, CTRS at REHAB of the Pacific for all of her hard work and continued support for adaptive sports within the community.
